DECKEL NEW ARRIVALS
HERE ARE THE NEW DECKEL ITEMS THAT I COLLECTED FROM THE UK. THE GENTLEMAN THAT SOLD THEM TO ME TOLD ME THAT THESE ITEMS WERE FROM DECKEL FP2 MACHINES THAT HAD BEEN SCRAPPED BY HIS COMPANY SOME YEARS AGO. THESE ACCESSORIES HAD BEEN VIRTUALLY UNUSED AND HAD ESCAPED THE FATE OF THE MACHINES.
ABOVE, THE HIGH SPEED HEAD FOR A DECKEL FP2. IT LOOKS UNUSED
ABOVE LEFT, THE OVERARM FOR THE HEAD, WHICH CAN ALSO BE USED TO MOUNT THE BRIDGEPORT "M" HEAD BY MAKING A SIMPLE ADAPTER.. ABOVE RIGHT, A VIEW OF THE MOUNTING FACE OF THE HEAD, THIS SHOWS NO WEAR MARKS THAT WOULD BE THERE IF THE HEAD HAD BEEN USED. THE MOTOR AND MOUNTING BRACKET ARE MISSING BUT MIRACULOUSLY ERIK HAS FOUND THOSE FOR ME IN DENMARK!
ABOVE LEFT, A VIEW OF THE INT 40 SOCKET, WHICH SHOWS NO SIGNS OF USE OR ABUSE. ABOVE RIGHT, A SUDS PUMP AND PARTS FOR THE DECKEL DIVIDING HEAD SHOWN BELOW.
ABOVE THE DECKEL DIVIDING HEAD FOR THE FP2 WHICH LOOKS IDENTICAL TO THE FP1 DIVIDING HEAD ON MY MACHINE EXCEPT THAT THE SOCKET IS INT.4. THE SLIDEWAYS ARE NOT SCRAPED BUT HAVE A GROUND FINISH THAT IS UNMARKED. THE NUTS ON THE CLAMPING BOLTS SHOW NO SIGNS OF USE. THE OVERARM CAME WITH IT BUT THE SUPPORT FOR THE ARBOR IS MISSING! THERE ARE SOME SMALL PARTS SUCH AS CLAMP LEVERS MISSING BUT OTHERWISE, DESPITE THE DISTRESSED PAINTWORK, SEEMS TO BE IN GOOD CONDITION.
ABOVE LEFT AND RIGHT, VIEWS OF THE DIVIDING HEAD. THE INT.40 SOCKET HAS SOME RUST DAMAGE BUT I`M HOPING THAT IT WILL CLEAN UP NICELY WITH A BIT OF T.L.C.
